Istanbul Academy of Sciences is introducing Summer School of Ottoman Culture and History distance learning module. The program will be held between 13 June and 01 July.

Distance learning module is like a preparation school for Summer School of Ottoman Culture and History which will be executed by the Istanbul Academy of Sciences in partnership with Istanbul Medeniyet University and Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). Applications will be online and application period is 01 – 10 June 2016. Accepted students can follow lectures online, attend lessons, exchange course materials and get into touch with instructor on lecture or afterwards. Student evaluation will also be online. The program is going to establish basis for researches on Ottoman culture and history.

Program will continue for 3 weeks and lectures will be on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Lectures are going to be 2 sessions (50 x 2 = minutes) at specified time, students can attend by logging into the system with their passwords.

Successful students will receive a certificate and it is planned to do practical training for these students.

Target Group:

Foreign students, undergraduate or graduate, who is going to make academic research on Anatolia, Balkans and Middle East.

Program will be held Turkish and English will be used as secondary language for resources. Students are expected to have a good level of Turkish skills.
